Big Spenders

It is Sunday and we did some serious eating and spending.  It had to happen.  We went to Costco and tried hard not to buy stuff.  We did not get our biweekly supply of Vitamin Water Zero.  That stuff is 17 bucks a case!  AJ was all.."it's only 80 cents a bottle_ and I was all "that's almost 40 bucks a month!"  Quite a role reversal.  My Costco mantra is usually- "just put it in the cart!"  So now I am going to have water.  Lots of people never drink anything else.  Oh me.

AJ ate-

1 egg
3 sausages
german pancake with syrup
popcorn sample at costco
3 deviled eggs
1/4 cup ice cream
3 cups coffee with cream
1 grainbelt beer
1 bowl chicken chili
2 pieces of cornbread
kale salad

Kristin ate

1 egg
3 sausages
german pancake with sausage
2 deviled eggs
1 pb and honey
1 bowl chicken chili
1 piece corn bread
kale salad
fudgesicle

AJ and Kristin spent together
$32.00 gas
$ groceries $135 (see receipt) including Tide $18.50) and pencils for school- $10.00

We planned some menus for the week that would be delicious and thrifty and low-carbish.  Look for tator tot hotdish, enchiladas, and "american potage"  We haven't said the "diet" word yet, but eating properly is certainly the goal.   We added to our stock of veggies, and should be able have half of the plate full of veggies.  Shout out to Sharon for the lovely deviled eggs and baby kale.
Soon I'll start posting some recipes.
The Chicken Chili was really awesome.  The kids came in from ice-fishing and add it up!
